Peninsula Medical School Graduation Ball Photography and Photobooth

Peninsula Medical School Graduation Ball Photography and Photobooth. Last night we were with the Graduating class of 2013 from Peninsula Medical School jointly run by the university of Exeter and the university of Plymouth. They held the ball in the beautiful grounds of Bicton college. Where I had two roles to perform I was taking images of the students as a memento of their graduation and later in the evening running the photobooth. To access the images of the groups shots please head over to the client area of the website and I believe the password was given to you all. If not drop me an email and I'll send it over. The images are free to download as electronic copies as the graduation ball have already paid for this. But if you want to order prints then you can at anytime through the online shop. http://www.redchilliphotography.com/photocart/ After the meal and the review of the year, by the way which was excellent. How you all managed to coordinate making the spoof music videos. I'll never know.. We ran the photo booth which was a brilliant success. As usual I've included a small selection of the photo booth images  below. All the rest are on the  facebook “Red Chilli Photography” page. So head over and like the business page and see if you can find your images from the photo booth. Don’t forget to tag yourself and please share on your profile. Family Portrait Photographer

Family Portrait Photographer in Devon - Its about you and your story.

I love being a family portrait photographer and our family portrait photo shoots are a lot of fun and a great way to spend some time together. Our family portrait photographs are about atmosphere, capturing the emotions and importantly fun! If there’s a special toy you want to bring along to be in any photos, then please do. Likewise, if there is a special outfit “knitted jumper by granny” etc, bring that also. Bring something you like, so if you're into music or you're a football-mad family why not bring something along and we'll be able to theme some of your pictures to tell your story about you and your family.

Please feel free to bring a few changes of clothes. But avoid patterns and logos, it does distract from the main focus (Which is you and the kids). Long sleeves are better, plain strong colours, dark blues, blacks. Avoid white. If you want a group/family shot try to keep a theme running through it e.g. all wearing same coloured jeans, all have a hat - you get the idea. But don’t worry, most of all come and have fun, enjoy and get some great pictures. Family portrait photography normally takes one hour in our fully equipped home studio, during which time we'll shoot plenty of varied poses and groups.

Muddifords Court Wedding

Muddifords Court Wedding

Aimee and Adams: Muddifords court wedding. In August I was at the wonderful Muddiford Court over in Willand, Devon for Adam and Aimee wedding. Again I’ve done something a little different for Adam and Aimee. I’ve included a short video of some of my favourite images from their wedding day. The weather was fantastic and everyone had a brilliant time. We had the photo booth running for the evening’s entertainment have a look at the photobooth images yourself. Dartmoor kitchen provided the catering and as usual they did an amazing job, I loved Tom's pies 🙂 It really is one of Devon’s hidden gems and I love working at Muddifords court. It has fantastic photographic opportunities and would recommend it. But I think from the images below you can see for yourselves just how good it is. I’ve blogged about Muddifords before in April when I first went there to shoot Adam and Aimee’s engagement. I am now only accepting a limited number of weddings for 2013 so if you wish to be one of my 2013 bride’s please don’t delay in getting in contact as I only have limited dates left. I would love to be a part of your wedding celebrations. Please watch the video and have a look through the images below.   Please have a look through a small selection of the images from Adam and Aimee's Muddifords Court wedding and please leave a comment. If you are planning to hold your wedding at Muddifords Court please get in contact to discuss availability. Please feel free to share on facebook, tweet, Google+ or Pin.   Muddifords court weddingMuddifords court weddingMuddifords court country house weddingMuddifords court country house weddingthe cider barn at muddifordsdevon wedding photographerdevon wedding photographerMuddifords CourtMuddifords CourtMuddifords Court DevonMuddifords Court Devonwedding photographer in DevonMuddifords court wedding photographyMuddifords court wedding photographerwedding photographer in DevonMuddifords court wedding photographerwedding photographerwedding lanternswedding lanterns Devonwedding first dancewedding first dancebride and groom first dancemuddifordswedding photography   Adam and Aimee you were a wonderful couple to work with and I wish the best of times for the future. plymouth wedding photography

plymouth wedding photography in Smeatons tower

plymouth wedding photography in Smeatons tower. Jo and Mark’s wedding took place in the light house “Smeatons Tower” on the hoe in Plymouth. I didn’t meet Jo until the day before her wedding as it was the first time they would be back down in Plymouth before the wedding. We met at Smeatons tower on a very windy and wet summers day, where Jo was absolutely fearless walking out in the high winds at the top of the light house. I personally wasn’t too keen on going out to have a look. But I did (I’m not great with heights so no hot air balloon rides please) and we planned that if the weather cleared up we would go out on the top to take some couples shots with views over Plymouth, the Hoe and the sound. I can see why it’s a popular venue. On a clear day the views are stunning and something a little different from a traditional wedding venue. The only people who are allowed at the wedding ceremony are the bride and groom (I know obvious), the two registrars, the two witnesses’ and the photographer. We also managed to keep Jo and Marks little boy in his very smart suit in the top section. The rest of the wedding party have to go on the different levels of the light house. The morning of the wedding the weather was pouring with rain and when I arrived at Smeatons tower I didn’t think we would be able to get any pictures outside. But fortunately as soon as the groom Mark arrived the weather cleared. Jo and Mark were a great couple to work with. Thank you for letting me be part of your day. I do love an unusual wedding venue. Please have a look through a small selection of the images below and feel free to leave a comment. Enjoy.

A beautiful north devon wedding

A beautiful north devon wedding.

I wanted to share with you Ruth and David’s beautiful north devon wedding filled with loads of homemade details. This was my first wedding of the jubilee weekend. Which found me over in Braunton, north Devon. The ceremony was held at the stunning St Augstine church in Heanton Punchardon. Then we went on to the village hall in the middle of Croyde after we stopped for the couples portraits on the beach at saunton sands. But first I must say a big thank you to Ruth’s Mum. Who kept me going with toasted bagels and cups of coffee the wedding photographers breakfast of choice. 🙂 I also think I met my match on the organisational front Ruth’s sister with our printed schedules, which became a running joke throughout the day, checking up on me and if I was on schedule. So thank you ladies for making it a fun day. We also managed to avoid the showers long enough to get some great images down on the beach. Where the best man David’s brother did a brilliant job of stopping my equipment blowing off into the sea. Then off to the village hall for an English tea party, which was later followed by a hog roast. I really loved the handmade guest name tags (see the bottom of the post), which had seeds in the paper so they could be planted as a lasting reminder of their wedding day. My memory of the day will be of the laughter and fun. So if you are planning a wedding in North Devon please get in contact as soon as possible because dates are filling up fast. Also please feel free to share my blog post with friends and family. Don't forget to like and check out the facebook business page. Wedding Photography

Food Photographer in Devon

Food Photographer in Devon

A local delicatessen based in Torquay had been searching for a commercial food photographer to help support the launch of their new website and advertising campaign. We initially spoke about the brief on the phone and they wanted to emphasise the wholesome home cooked style of food. But they didn’t want to use stock images, so we discussed shooting it like was for a recipe book, so the customers could see the food been created in stages. It gives a more personal approach to the food so the customers know that the food has been created in store and is of the highest quality ingredients. I know that the images will be used for the website, advertising flyers and in the local newspaper. I also know the owner has been nominated for business woman of the year. When shooting commercial photography projects it’s very important to go through the details of what the images are to be used for and to get the creative ideas bouncing between the photographer and the client. So when the brief is complete we both know what we are doing. We looked through recipe books, so I could get an idea of the style of food photography the client did like and more importantly the style of images they didn’t like. So the following week we had the date set for the shoot and the food was prepared. So below is a small sample of the images supplied. I particularly like the scotch eggs being prepared. When placed together in a montage it works so well. food photographerfood photographerfood photographerfood photographer
